Moranbah East State School is committed to providing a safe, respectful and disciplined learning environment for students and staff, where students have opportunities to engage in quality learning experiences and acquire values supportive of their lifelong wellbeing.

Our school has an established vision of Pride in our achievements leads to success and our school motto, Achieve with Pride, underpins what we stand for in our daily interactions, what we do and how we present ourselves in the school community.

Our traditional logo appears on our uniform.  The pictures depicted on the inside of the badge reflect our pride in being Australian as well as our high standards in academic, sporting and cultural pursuits, achieved only through honest work and strong persistence.

Our five school values are reflected in the word 'PRIDE' representing the following core values:

Persistence

Respect

Integrity

Diversity

Excellence

Our values are our school rules and are defined as Show pride in yourself, Show pride in your school and Show pride in others.

These principles and core values are embedded in our Student Code of Conduct.  We manage our student behaviours within a positive mindset and according to our Behaviour Management ProcessThat is; our role is not to discipline or punish but to support our students in making positive choices.  It is expected that all members of our school community will support us in respecting our values and principles.

The Student Code of Conduct is designed to facilitate high standards of positive behaviour so that the learning and teaching in our school can be effective and students can participate positively within our school community.

Our positive approach is to award a class student of the week and celebrate each week on parade.  Our staff daily issue 'gotcha' positive reward tickets to students and these children are drawn from a raffle for whole of school rewards.  The leadership team foster positive relationships by being present regularly in classrooms and out with the students at lunch times.  The annual student versus teacher games are a real hit each term.
