Moranbah East State School provides our
students with a range of learning experiences in a challenging and supportive
environment. Moranbah East State School offers an innovative and engaging curriculum to meet
the needs of each student. This is achieved through an uncluttered curriculum
designed to accommodate the learning rates and styles of students and embrace
the need for flexible approaches to learning. We place high expectations on
student conduct and the development of social responsibility.
We provide
students with support and direction so that they can develop their social
competence and self-confidence and achieve their full potential. Every staff
member at Moranbah East State School has a commitment to high quality educational and

Our staff are proud to work
at Moranbah East State School and we value the culture and traditions of the
school, as well as collectively working together towards an even better
tomorrow. We have over 70 staff members employed
at Moranbah East. Staff members are identifiable by their school
badge.
Our administration team members
are a united group, with Mr Pete Stansfield bringing together very experienced operators including Mrs Geraldine Curran, Ms Tash Mallory, Mrs Suzannah Nicholas and Ms Karlie Holmberg.
Our professional
staff work together as a united team to deliver the highest quality
education using the Departmental allocative resource models. Teachers use an array of widely practised pedagogical models which are based on research and provide a
common teaching approach sitting under the Age Appropriate Pedagogies. Whole of school Annual Improvement Priorities are well known to
staff and collaboratively we develop plans to derive further improvements in student
performance data and teaching and learning outcomes.

Parent communication
Moranbah East State School staff are always happy to communicate with parents, however, we appreciate minimal disruptions during learning periods.
Teachers email addresses are available so as you can make initial contact and book a suitable time to meet face to face if required. We encourage the use of email between home and school and commit that our emails are read on a daily basis.
Each fortnight, our class teachers email a class newsletter to keep our parents informed and up to date.
